Meet Rachael

Rachael HS (1170x1755P) (2 of 3).jpg

Hello! I'm Rachael Dehe, IBCLC, BSc, MSc. I am proud to offer lactation consulting services that empower women, parents, and all birthing people. Although I have lived in England since 2020, I'm originally from Austin, Texas.

I received my IBCLC certification in 2018 and have worked in a variety of healthcare settings and care giving roles. I've worked with both the NHS and US hospitals, in home birth, and at birthing centres. I've also been teaching my own crafted Newborn Feeding Courses since 2017.

Years of experience has given me a wealth of knowledge that I use to help my clients grow and thrive. The knowledge I share will always be individualised care tailored to your family's unique needs. I use a combination of the latest evidence-based care techniques and my expertise to create a bespoke plan that works for you and your family.

I am dedicated to providing families the support and guidance they need to navigate their feeding journeys. I am a trained mental health first aider and understand the importance of addressing the entire scope of a client's needs. I have undergone trauma-informed healthcare provider training. Furthermore, having recently been diagnosed with ADHD, I have a special appreciation for working with neurodiverse families and creating an environment that is safe and tailored to their specific needs. Above all, I am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and am committed to providing comprehensive and inclusive support to families from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to work with me. Thank you!

About Vivien

I'm Vivien, a certified lactation counselor based in Eastbourne. I moved to the UK in September 2021, and before that, I supported families in Hungary, helping them achieve their breastfeeding goals and understand why breastfeeding is one of the best gifts we can give our babies.
I'm passionate about making more support available across East Sussex while updating my knowledge.
I am a girl mom, who loves long-distance trail running, kickboxing and reading.

**Vivien is planning to become an IBCLC in the future and needs to collect 500 hours of mentored breastfeeding support before she can sit for her exam. Any families that are happy to have a student observe and support them will be helping the next generation of lactation consultants AND families!**

You aren't alone!

Did you know that 97% of breastfeeding parents seek out feeding support, and 23% say they might have been able to breastfeed/offer breastmilk for longer if they’d gotten more help.
